Measuring Trial Success
The evaluation follows a backtesting approach. The Order Right model is trained on historical data, excluding the most recent month. It then generates forecasts for that excluded month, which are compared against the actual results from the same period.
To assess the model’s effectiveness, performance will be measured both with and without Order Right across the following three parameters:
Forecast Accuracy
Average Closing Stock
Out‑of‑Stock Reduction
Data and Support Needed for the Trial
01
Forecasting data in the prescribed format
02
Inventory and Replenishment parameters in the prescribed format
03
